Our Story

How one woman’s love of homemade cookies became a Jacksonville favorite.

For nearly 30 years, Michelle Rhoades ran a jewelry store at the Jacksonville Landing. When the Landing closed, she decided it was time for a sweeter chapter.

Inspired by the beloved Coastal Cookies shop that once stood nearby, she bought the equipment, changed the name, and opened First Coast Cookies in the food court at Regency Square Mall in November 2019.

What started as a small mall location quickly won over the Arlington community with soft, from-scratch cookies that tasted just like grandma’s. In 2022, Michelle took the next big step—purchasing the former Willard’s Bar-B-Q building at 4610 San Juan Avenue and opening a full bakery and boba shop on Jacksonville’s Westside.

Baked Fresh Daily

Every cookie is mixed, scooped, and baked in-house the same day you buy it.

Nothing is ever frozen.

We offer classic favorites like Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter, White Chocolate Strawberry, Fudge Pecan, and our famous Power Ranger (oatmeal + cornflake + coconut + pecan), and seasonal flavors that change throughout the year.

And because one sweet treat deserves another, we added a full lineup of refreshing boba drinks: milk teas, fruit teas, frozen “Froba,” and our popular Bougie Lemonade.
